About Vacuum Drop Testing
At PAC Group, we understand that time costs money in the manufacturing sector. Our vacuum drop testing machines are designed to minimise the risk of thermocouple and/or vacuum leak failures. This equipment can not only help to identify problems with tool vacuum integrity before it enters the autoclave, but also reduces cycle failures and ensures each use of the autoclave is maximised in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.
PAC’s vacuum drop-test systems are scalable, from single point handheld and portable systems to multi- point trolley-based systems right up to large-scale fixed systems.

Data Recording
If used with the data recording option, the data logging is performed by a graphic recorder. These records can then be accessed through the recorder touchscreen, exported, or downloaded to USB.
This can be particularly useful on large systems where analysis of the vacuum and thermocouple data can help to identify patterns in process failure, allowing for preventative measures to be implemented.
Test Option
During cure cycles within autoclaves, thermocouple failure can be as much of a problem as vacuum failure. Our system can be configured with a thermocouple test option, which can check each thermocouple against the ambient temperature to highlight any that fall outside specification. The number of ports is scalable to meet the unique needs of each process. The handheld system typically has one port, the trolley system up to 16 ports, and the fixed system up to 128 ports.
