About Reticulators

Our reticulation process offers a unique and efficient method of adding adhesive to honeycomb and perforated surfaces. For even airflow through the heating elements, the built-in fans are speed-controlled using inverters and differential pressure sensors while providing excellent temperature uniformity at the point where the adhesive needs to liquefy.

Temperature Control

Each reticulator has multiple temperature-controlled zones. Each zone has two temperature probes, one in the air box and one at the air knife edge – these feed back into our specially designed software control algorithm, providing a tolerance of +/- 5 degrees.

To improve the efficiency of our reticulators, we install pre-heating infra-red lamps to improve efficiency and control. They are adjusted via thyristor stacks controlled by a PID algorithm and temperature probe to guarantee consistency.

The motion of the machine is tightly controlled via servo motors with encoder feedback to ensure the speed and position of the reticulation process is as accurate as possible.

Bespoke Reticulation Machines

At PAC Group, we can manufacture machines of various sizes to suit your specific application.

We can offer manual or automatic hood adjustment, a bespoke master control panel located away from the moving parts of the machine to reduce downtime and support maintenance by allowing easy access to critical components.

Operator Interfaces

We offer two types of operator interfaces, the standard which is a 12” colour touchscreen which supports configuration, storage and retrieval of recipes, data logging and exporting, while the more advanced option is a computer controlled SCADA system which gives you access to unlimited recipes, remote report viewing, part booking on the machine, part tracking and data recording without a USB download. To aid Quality Engineers in Thermal Uniformity Surveying, we offer unique options to simplify and accelerate the process.

Our standard option is a specially manufactured thermocouple holder which mounts directly onto the machine, ensuring consistency in the location of TUS probes from test to test.

Our advanced TUS option includes a pre-programmed Eurotherm 6100 recorder in carry case which links to the HexbondTM software, and with just one click from the Quality Engineer, adjusts the temperature set- points to conform with the TUS standards.

We offer a comprehensive maintenance pack with every reticulation machine to empower your team to carry out on-site maintenance.
